What is "Ju-Eun-Kong"?

Rat-eye beans (aka yakkong, seomoktae, and foxkong) are a year-old crop belonging to the legume family, and they are black and shiny small beans (100 grains: 12-13g) that have been collected and grown in farm gardens and paddy fields, and are sown in mid-to-late May. The leaves are somewhat smaller than ordinary beans, the stems tend to become vines, and the seeds initially ripen red and turn black when fully ripened

The old literature, 鄕藥集, states that 味甘, 毒, and stir-fry the hot ones in alcohol and drink them little by little, so that red wind (賊風), wind rain (風痺), and cold blood (冷血症) can be cured and the intestines (醬) can be soaked. Therefore, it can be seen that rat-eye beans have already been used for the manufacture of intestines. Also, there is a record of using rat-eye beans as a prescription for strengthening bones and muscles and longevity for the weak body, the elderly, and the sick in the medicine of King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty.

And according to the New 藥草 by 勳 Kim 一, rat eye beans are highly detoxifiable and are recorded as a special medicine for diseases such as kidneys and bladder.
