Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 15th that it has released an edible hair loss treatment called Capillus Capsule.

Capillus capsules contain nutrients necessary for hair growth and health, such as "keratin," "L-cystine," hair essential nutrients "medical yeast," "vitamin B1 (thiamine nitrate)," and "vitamin B5 (calcium pantothenate)," which are components of hair and nails. By supplying essential hair nutrients through the blood, it is effective in adjuvant treatment of damaged hair, sluggish nail development, and hair loss.

An official from Dong-A Pharmaceutical said, "The number of patients suffering from hair loss is increasing regardless of whether they are male or female, and the number of hair loss patients, especially young people in their 20s and 30s, is increasing rapidly."

According to the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, the number of hair loss patients increased from 203,305 in 2012 to 212,916 in 2016. In particular, 26.9% of the total were in their 30s, followed by 25.4% in their 20s and 23.0% in their 40s, indicating that the phenomenon of hair loss among young people was remarkable. Meanwhile, the newly released Capillus capsule is a generic drug and can be purchased at pharmacies. It consists of two sets of 90 capsules per pack, so you can take one capsule three times a day for two months.
