Hit song - Korea's first mixed male and female group Jam to stand on top of I Never Stop!!!
Leader Cho Jin-soo has turned from a singer to a hairdresser and has been a hairstylist for more than 20 years.
◇ A new way of beauty, and a desire for music
Cho Jin-soo decided to disband the jam, but it was also a difficult decision for him. The dissolution of the group he created and cherished, and the breakdown among his team members, had a significant impact on his life. Ten months of activity, the equivalent of time wandering.
"It was really hard. During the 10-month wanderings, I went all the way to Hong Kong just to stay at home like a dead person and do a liquor business. Then, I found beauty. My brother was running a hair salon."
Of course, he entered the path of beauty, but he couldn't stand his thirst for music and stage. Therefore, he formed a jazz band from 1998 to 2001 and worked for two to three years, and then formed the pop fusion band Prosumer in 2003.
"Actually, prosumer finished without seeing the light. Dance has settled down to a certain extent. I was thinking about what to do after that and it was pop and band. That's why I combined those two to make a pop band. The band is very active right now, right? I think in a way, I tend to be really ahead of others.(laughs)
In recent years, he has continued his broadcasting activities. Although he does not often appear, he appeared on SBS's "Challenge 1000 Songs" and MBC's "Quiz to Change the World: Three Wheels," and recently appeared on Mnet's "Trot X" to show his passion for a new genre.
"I've been planning a project for a trot album for three years now. It also opened up the possibility of entering Japan. But luckily, I got a call from Mnet asking if I could participate and decided to appear."
"The stage is always with me," he said, although he does not currently release an album. In fact, he is now working as a successful businessman in the beauty business after finishing his career as a singer, but he also expressed his desire to create a new stage for lectures by combining music and lectures. For him, music was life itself.
