As finasteride, 5 mg is administered orally once a day regardless of diet.
- Even if symptoms improve when taken, at least six months of treatment are required.
- Patients with renal failure: Drug kinetics showed no change in administration of this drug, so there is no need to adjust the dose for several types of renal failure patients (creatinine clearance rate: 9.0 mL/min).
- Elderly people: Although the excretion of this drug is slightly reduced in the elderly over 70 years of age, there is no need to adjust the dose.
