Ingredients and configurations
10 mg of isotretinoin
usage capacity
Since the therapeutic effect and adverse reaction to this drug are dose-dependent, the dose is appropriately adjusted according to the patient's symptoms and conditions.
○ Initial capacity
As isotretinoin, 0.5 mg per kg of body weight per day is administered by observing the response.
○ Retention capacity
As this drug, 0.5 to 1.0 mg is administered per kg of body weight per day, and it can be increased up to 2.0 mg in patients with severe acne.
In the case of a low dose, it is divided once a day, and in the case of a high dose, it is divided twice a day and taken with meals.
The cumulative dose of 120 mg per kg of body weight for each treatment process increases the improvement rate of symptoms and lowers the recurrence rate. Treatment period may vary depending on the daily dose, but it usually takes 16 to 24 weeks, and symptoms may improve even after treatment is stopped. Therefore, if symptoms recur, the above treatment process should be repeated, but the treatment should be resumed after at least eight weeks of rest period has elapsed.
○ Patients with renal failure: The experience of administration is very limited. If this drug is administered, the dose is controlled starting at 10 mg per day as this drug.
○ Intolerant Patient: Continue treatment at a low dose. In this case, the treatment period is extended and the risk of recurrence is increased. For these patients, the optimal effect can be achieved by continuing treatment at the maximum adaptable dose.
