Today is exactly one month after the hair transplant surgery, so I leave a picture and a review like this the day after the surgery and a month after the surgery. I hope my experience can help those who are worried a little bit.
I transplanted a total of 5,200 hairs from Apgujeong Monara Dermatology Department, 1600 hairs on the forehead and 3,600 hairs on the top of the head. I was very satisfied overall from the first visit to the hospital until the day of the surgery.
In particular, the director was very impressed. You listened fully to my opinion and actively reflected the design or direction I wanted. However, he explained honestly and clearly about the parts or limitations that are practically impossible, so I think I had more trust. This has reduced my preoperative anxiety a lot, and I was able to make plans that fit my hair condition and scalp characteristics.
On the day of the surgery, it lasted for 7 hours, which was longer than I thought, and the atmosphere was really comfortable, so I didn't feel too bored. All the staff felt kind and professional, and they checked the progress from time to time, so we were able to maintain a stable psychological state for a long time.
What was particularly impressive was that you divided hair collection and transplantation into two sessions. Perhaps because of this, the dark age, which usually comes after hair transplantation, seems to have come weaker than I thought. I had a hair transplant on August 27th. It's already been two weeks because time goes by so fast. I went to the hospital yesterday and checked the progress of the second week. The director looked at it and told me that it is time for the dark age to begin, and I will come back after I fall out, so don't be too anxious. They said you can think of it as a process of losing your hair.
I filled in the M-shape a little and transplanted it around the front and top of the head. A total of 4,000mo was held. When I consulted again, the director recommended that it was the most natural to look at my head and hair style, so I trusted and left it to him.
I was so nervous when I entered the operating room, but I had a stinging feeling when the injection came in, and other than that, I was fine. The anesthesia was done properly, so there was no pain after that. The process of collecting and transplanting followed, about 5 hours? 6 hours?I think I was in the hospital.
I usually cut my hair short and wear a hat often, so I thought about it and proceeded with a non-cut shaved head. The director did everything from collection to transplantation, and I felt that he was meticulous while watching.
After the surgery, he prescribed the medicine and emphasized that you should avoid alcohol and cigarettes for at least two weeks.
It was okay because I didn't smoke, and I drink alcohol sometimes, so it wasn't too hard to endure it.
For 2-3 days after the surgery, it was a little hard because of the itching rather than the pain. It's quite hard to endure what my hands keep trying to do. Still, there is no big inconvenience after that period.
It hasn't been long since the surgery, so I don't know any noticeable changes. Still, as the director said, I believe it will be abundant if you take care of it step by step and wait. I hope it can be a little bit of reference to those who are worried like me.
