About 10 years ago, I was thinking about using Henna to get a temporary scalp tattoo myself. (In my post)
But these days, there are already a lot of products for that purpose on the market.
In the meantime, I came across the method called 'MTS', so I thought about the related content a little more and organized it as follows.

For your information, I am currently on oral minoxidil and my hair has recovered a lot,
You don't really have to try this method.
But I thought, "Wouldn't it be better to try it myself than to pay for SMP tattoos?"
This is an information-level summary.

### ✅ MTS Roller scalp color penetration — Step-by-step safety procedures

---

## 1️⃣ Preparation stage

| Item | Details |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **MTS Rollers** | Recommended 0.25mm to 0.3mm (for scalp only) |
| **Pigmentation** | SMP-only carbon base ink (Scalpa, Policyule, Ghost Pigment, etc.) — Never use regular tattoo ink |
| **Disinfectant** | 70% isopropyl alcohol, sterile saline |
| **Protective equipment** | Disposable sterile gloves, masks, new mirrors, lighting |
| **Aid supplies** | Sterile cups (for pigment), sterile gauze, sterile cotton swab |

---

## 2️⃣ Disinfection before the procedure

1. **Clean the scalp**

* Completely dry after shampooing.
* Wipe the treatment area with alcohol cotton → Keep it completely dry.

2. **Disinfect equipment**

* Rollers are only used **once after opening.
* Rollers, cups, gauze, etc. are all opened sterile.

3. **Hand hygiene**

* Wash your hands and wear disposable gloves.
* Never touch hair, face or cell phone during the procedure.

---

## 3️⃣ Procedural steps

1. **Ink ready**

* Place a small amount (3-5 ml) of ink in a sterile cup.
* Don't pour directly on the scalp, apply thinly with ** cotton swabs.**

2. **Rolling direction**

* Horizontal → Vertical → Diagonally roll **10 to 15 times in each direction.
* Don't press too hard — just the "sting" level.
* Stop immediately if bleeding (pigmentation spreads when bleeding).

3. **Check skin reactions**

* The degree of red spot irritation (erythema) is normal.
* Stop immediately if the pain is severe or if it is oozing.

4. **After rolling**

* Wipe off the remaining ink lightly with sterile gauze.
* Never rub (pigmentation creeping).

---

## 4️⃣ Post-treatment care

| Period | Management Contents |
| ---------- | --------------------------------- |
| **Same day** | Never expose yourself to water, sweat or sunlight |
| **Day 1-3** | No cleaning, no touching, no drying |
| **Day 4-7** | Can be lightly rinsed with lukewarm water, moisturizing only with fragrance-free aloe gel |
| **1~2 weeks from now** | Stabilizes pigment and settles in light shade form |
| **2~3 weeks from now**|Secondary procedures available if needed (reducing the color) |

---

## 5️⃣ Important points

| Topic | Description |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| **Color smudging** | If there is a lot of sebum or moisture on the scalp, the ink spreads → Make sure to dry the procedure |
| **Prevent infection** | Do not reuse rollers, thoroughly sanitize hands |
| **Keep the color** | UV protection required (UV protection spray, wear a hat) |
| **Repeated cycle** | 6 months to 1 year after 2 to 3 procedures |
| **Pigmentation test** | Be sure to test a small amount behind your ears or inside your arms** (check inflammation, allergic reactions) |

---

## ⚠️ CAUTION — Risk of infection

Because MTS penetrates many of the stratum corneum with needles, there is a risk:

* **Cystitis, staphylococcal infection**
* **Blue tone (blueing) phenomenon when dermal pigment penetrates**
* **Inflammation of wounds → pigment eliminated**
* **Hepatitis C and bacterial infection are possible in case of sterilization failure**

→ Therefore, be sure to keep **70% alcohol disinfection**, **needle/rollers disposable**, and **minimizing moisture** before and after the procedure.
