[Topic Discussion] Why do hair loss pills only help top of the head and not in the M shape?

I'm not a doctor and I don't know much about it, but I heard on the Internet that hair loss pills are effective in improving hair loss on the top of the head, but hair transplants are the only ones on the M-shaped forehead.
What is the reason for that?
I think it's because the forehead with the M shape already feels flattened because the hair is covered with flesh(?) after the hair falls out and the hair follicle side can't grow anymore..? I do think so
I wonder what the exact reason is
