Korea's Professionals Index is higher than in the U.S
Last Revision Date: 2013-11-22 13:33:29 It was found that domestic sales of Propecia (component name Finasteride) were higher than those of the United States. However, this is in accordance with the 'Propeia Index', which calculates the sales volume relative to the population.
The "Profesia Index" represents the sales of Profesia to the male population aged 20 to 39 in each country, which is obtained by dividing the number of tablets of Profesia sold in a year by the number of male populations aged 20 to 39, which is closest to the Profesia licensed age (18 to 41).
The "Profesia Index" released by MSD Korea was calculated based on Propesia's 2012 sales, and 20 major Propesia sales countries, including Asia, North America, South America, and Europe, were included in the analysis.
According to this, Korea scored 2.2 points, which was higher than the average 'Profesia Index' of 20 countries at 1.16.
This means that one man aged 20 to 39 took about 2.2 tablets when converting the number of Professionals sold during the last year into sales volume compared to the male population aged 20 to 39 in Korea, regardless of hair loss.
The highest index was Hong Kong with 5.3 points, followed by Japan with 4.4 points. Singapore ranked third with 3.1 points. The U.S. scored 1.3 points, which was lower than Korea's. Reporter Park Sang-joon
