The specter of the marriage information company's rating table, which had been quiet for a while, is reviving. This time, it is more specific, such as occupation, academic background, property, and appearance. Some marriage information companies score each category of this rating table and then add it up and classify customers.

Marriage information companies have said that "the rating table does not exist," but the rating table of a marriage information company secured by Financial News on the 8th shows that they designate product groups according to their scores, including occupation, academic background, and appearance, and then recommend products differentially according to customer ratings.

For example, a male judge from Seoul National University School of Law, who is 185cm tall, weighs 75kg, has no bald or severe scars, and has more than 10 billion won in family wealth, can join the top-tier product with an A+ rating.

On the other hand, employees of small and medium-sized companies who graduated from two-year universities with 166 centimeters tall, 73 kilograms in weight, and slightly peeled off their hair and have insufficient family will be rated D. There are not many products for this man to choose from.

Customer classification can also be actually checked through the marriage information company website. Some marriage information companies openly promote that customers with relatively preferred educational backgrounds or jobs are treated specially.

An official from a marriage information company explained, "It is difficult to follow the rating table because the specifications and environment of members vary widely, but I understand that some couple managers still refer to matching customers."

On the other hand, an official from another marriage information company said, "Common sense, if we follow the rating table, not many men can join in Korea," adding, "There is no reason to make or use a rating table."

■ Returning marriage information company's rating table 'The Ghost'

According to the rating table on the 8th, first of all, job classification was not much different from the rating table revealed last year. In the case of men, a judge from Seoul National University Law School is in the first grade, a prosecutor from Seoul National University Law School, a successful candidate from Seoul National University's administrative examination, and a lawyer from five major law firms, including Secretariat University, are in the second grade.

Even the same judge test is rated as 3rd grade for non-Seoul National University. He is on the same level as a medical doctor from Seoul National University. Overseas soccer and baseball stars are ranked in the fifth grade. Those who join large foreign companies in Seoul, Yonsei, and Korea University or public enterprises in the financial sector are also in the fifth grade.

Even the CEO had a different level depending on how many employees he had. It is said that corporate CEOs with 300 or more employees are rated 4, corporate CEOs with 100 or more employees are rated 7, and corporate CEOs with 10 or more employees are rated 9. Elementary, middle, and high school teachers, simple large corporations, and 9th-grade civil servants were in the lower ranks. Among the 15 grades, the grades of men from two-year universities were at the bottom.

The rating table was ranked by giving 100 points to a judge who graduated from Seoul National University's law school and deducting 3 points from the lower grade. It is a calculation method of 97 points for a second-grade Seoul National University law graduate and 94 points for a third-grade Seoul National University medical school graduate.

Even though the vocational department and the school they graduated from were grouped at once, the undergraduate graduation education was classified separately. Seoul National University, KAIST, Pohang University of Science and Technology, and prestigious universities in the U.S. are Grade 1 (out of 80), Yonsei University, Korea University, and Top 100 universities (77 points), other four-year grades in Seoul and the metropolitan area (62 points), local four-year grades 9 (56 points), and two-year college grades (53).

Property did not distinguish between parents and their own. Including real estate, stocks, and cash, they gave generous scores if there were many unconditionally. More than 10 billion won is written as 1st grade (out of 100 points), 6-10 billion won 2nd grade (95 points), 1~2 billion won 7th grade (70 points), 300~500 million won 9th grade (60 points), and 300 million won or less (55 points).

The rating table also records the appearance. A height of 185cm or more and a weight of 75kg was the first grade (out of 60 points), and the grade (-2 points) fell one step after each height and weight reduction of 2cm and 2kg, respectively.

The height was 189 cm or less and 168 cm was an acceptable limit. For those over 190cm or less than 167cm, the score per 2cm was subtracted by 5 points instead of 2 points, and the weight was also 5 points for every 5kg.

However, in order to receive such a grade, the face and body must be based on the premise that they are "proper." If it's not your preferred appearance, things are different. Baldness was counted as -10 points, and ugly scars were counted as -5 points.

After scoring customers' scores for each of these items, the marriage information company scored A+, 290-314 A, 265-289 B+, 240-264 B, 215-239 C, 188-214 D, etc.

There was also a difference in service depending on the score. A+ is followed by insurance services, private one-on-one custom matching through team leader-level matching managers, unlimited meetings, love coaches, and attendance at top parties. Each time the score is lowered, the experience of the matching manager in charge is short or the atmosphere of the party changes. The lowest number of meetings was once a month.

The score was high, so the cost was needed to find an opponent with similar specifications. Although it varies slightly from company to company, it was 8 million won to 10 million won for the top class, 3.6 million won to 7 million won for the second class, 2.4 million won to 5 million won for the third class, 1.55 million won to 3.5 million won for the fourth class, 1.15 million won to 1.2 million won for the fifth class, and 980,000 won to 990,000 won for the general class.

In the case of women, it was not different from what was released last year. Parents' jobs, wealth, and their beauty played an important role in determining the rating.

An official from a marriage information company said, "It is difficult to apply it as it is because the member's specifications do not match (with the rating table), but it is true to refer to it."

On the other hand, another marriage information company official said, "Large marriage information companies that operate based on customer and trust never make or use the rating table itself because it restricts customers."
