As there are various causes, hair loss is one that has a lot of concerns. As such, there are many drugs that are advertised as 'cures'. However, only two clinical trials have actually been recognized to be effective. It is a medicine made of propecia and minoxidil.

The only oral administration treatment for hair loss certified by the U.S. FDA (FDA). Originally, it is a product made based on the idea of hair growth when a prostate hypertrophy treatment called Proscar causes side effects. Propecia is only effective in men by blocking enzymes that make DHT male hormones that cause hair loss and can cause serious side effects such as birth defects in women. In some cases, side effects such as impotence, decreased sexual desire, and decreased range have been reported for men.
 
If there was no treatment outcome within 1 year of administration, no further treatment is desirable. For lasting effect, it must be taken continuously, and when discontinued, the newly thick hair will become thinner again within six months and turn into short fluffy hair.

Based on the side effects of drugs developed as oral hypertension treatments, it is developed as an external solution applied to the head after clinical experiments.
