1. Purpose of this review
This review was written to be of any help to many people who are considering hair transplant surgery and searching for various information to choose a hospital. I would appreciate it if you could understand and read the mixture of objective and subjective perspectives.
2. The timing and hospital's choice of hair transplant surgery
A. The timing of hair transplant surgery
Most of them go through the stages of 1) recognition of hair loss 2) folk remedies other than hair loss shampoo 3) minoxidil + pinasteride or adot before hair transplantation. However, most M-shaped hair loss people and many hair loss people who do not work well cannot be satisfied with the above steps.
Hair transplant surgery should be done when you can't be satisfied with your head and when you have time to spare (long vacation, after military service, after passing the certification exam, employment, etc.) so you don't regret it later. In my case, I had several opportunities before this surgery, but I postponed it because I was afraid of the surgery and thought that I could do it later, but I regret that I should have done it faster when I had the opportunity.
B. The choice of hospital
You'll be looking for a hospital while getting information from a number of hair loss community sites such as Daemo and Imaban. You may have obtained many pictures of the progress of the hair transplant and the cost of the hair transplant through the community.
I hope you see about three things when choosing a hospital.
1) Whether it is a single-person hospital- It is important whether the director of the single-person hospital directs and manages it afterwards.
2) Plastic Surgeons - You can search for plastic surgeons by going to http://www.prskorea.co.kr/main.asp . Hair transplants must be obtained from a plastic surgeon to achieve better aesthetically design and density.
3) Rational price - I put this last, but it's also something that should not be overlooked. However, if there is no significant difference in terms of amount while meeting the above two requirements, I think it is advisable not to pay too much attention.
3. Body - Surgical Process & Treatment Process
A. Surgery d-day (I wrote it in as much detail as possible so that you can experience the surgery indirectly in advance. It can vary from person to person depending on the operation method, start time, number of hair follicles, etc.)
1) Arrive at 07:50 AM on February 6, 2017 - Hooded zip-up with a big hat to wear on the way home
2) A consent form for surgery is prepared with the guidance of the guide staff, and toner (transplant area) and ointment (donation area) for use after surgery are provided.
3) I went to the director's room, grabbed a detailed design, and consulted (I trusted the director and did what he did.)
4) Enter individual rooms, change into surgical clothes, check blood pressure, etc., and wait. Before entering the operating room, stop by the bathroom and enter the operating room.
5) When you sit in the surgical chair (similar to the chair during dental treatment), the director comes and pushes the donor area and arranges the baby hairs on the transplant area.
6) While drinking laughter gas, partial anesthesia is performed on the donor area and the transplant area. (If you drink laughter gas, you feel drowsy, similar to drunk, and you can take it off and put it on in between, but the anesthesia injection hurts a little, so I keep on
I drank it. I don't like being sick
7) After anesthesia, make sure the doctor is well anesthetized. (It feels like a stone has been placed in the donor area and the transplant area.)
8) Starting surgery with collecting hair follicles in earnest. Through punching machines and instruments, the director and nurse separate the transplant hair from the donor site, and the hair follicle separators separate the hair follicles one by one with a microscope.
(From this point on, I can watch the TV in front of the chair and I watched 2 Infinite Challenge, so I finished collecting hair follicles.)
9) Lunch time after collecting hair follicles. I went to the place where I changed into a surgical suit, ate the meal you prepared, and brushed my teeth.
(I ate deliciously because they prepared sandwiches and juice. After drinking all the juice, I had a hard time holding back because I wanted to go to the bathroom during the transplant. It is recommended to drink water and drinks in moderation because the diuretic effect may become active due to tension during the surgery.)
10) Move back to the operating room and transplant the separated hair follicles to the transplant site. Two nurses transplant it from both sides, and the director comes to finish it. (You can watch TV at this time, but after watching a movie and an entertainment show, surgery is completed.)
11) Apply medicine to the donor area, cover with gauze and finish with tape. Apply gel to the transplant area, cover it with wrap, and finish it with tape.
12) Change clothes and go home. Stop by the pharmacy and buy the medication you prescribed before you go home. (I recommend you take a taxi when you go home because you look terrible after the surgery and you have to be careful even if you wear a hood.)
13) Take the prescribed medicine after dinner and apply toner to the transplant area every 30 minutes
(If you set the alarm every 30 minutes on your phone, it will tell you even if you don't look at the watch, so it's convenient.)
14) Lie down and sleep in a proper position so that the transplant area does not touch the pillow. Sleep with two towels on the pillow because it can get blood on it.
(I slept with socks on my hands so I wouldn't scratch the transplant with my hands, and I almost scratched it in my sleep once or twice even though I don't usually touch my hair.)
B. D+1 treatment
1) On the day of surgery, I scheduled the treatment time and visited the hospital on time (I scheduled the earliest at 10:30)
2) After arriving, put your luggage in the locker, go into the hyperbaric oxygen therapy room, and treat it for about 30 minutes. (I don't change my clothes, and it's over after I soak in my phone a little bit.)
3) Go to the shampoo room after hearing how to use shampoo, hair care products, toner, and ointment from the guide staff.
(It hurt more than I thought when I was shaving. I still feel like I'm on a rock, but it still hurts.)
4) I went into the locker room, dried my hair, paid for shampoo, etc., and confirmed the treatment schedule for D+2, D+3 and the consultation schedule for the D+10 director

I don't like cost-effectiveness, so the high cost wasn't that important. If all the conditions I saw as important were met, I thought it was well worth the investment.
In particular, I watched it very carefully when maintaining my baby hair.
There are a lot of hospitals that push all their little hairs during surgery, but personally, it felt like a way to call a lot of parameters. And if the baby hair disappears, only the thick head of the surgery area will remain, so it will be noticeable, and psychologically, it will not be very comfortable.
As I consulted with the information I found online, it was the Mammoth Hairline that had all the points I thought important.
On the day of the surgery, I think I had a fascinating experience because of the laughter gas anesthesia. As I keep breathing, my body feels like I'm going to get drunk, and then suddenly it tastes sweet and it was a really interesting experience. We had time to collect and eat lunch, and after the transplant, she wore bandages and beanies to prevent it from slipping.
When I visited the hospital again the next day, I received a surgical note. I was going to leave a review right after the surgery, but it wasn't easy.
So I'm leaving a review after the second week's progress report.
I had a hair transplant on August 27th. It's already been two weeks because time goes by so fast. I went to the hospital yesterday and checked the progress of the second week. The director looked at it and told me that it is time for the dark age to begin, and I will come back after I fall out, so don't be too anxious. They said you can think of it as a process of losing your hair.
I filled in the M-shape a little and transplanted it around the front and top of the head. A total of 4,000mo was held. When I consulted again, the director recommended that it was the most natural to look at my head and hair style, so I trusted and left it to him.
I was so nervous when I entered the operating room, but I had a stinging feeling when the injection came in, and other than that, I was fine. The anesthesia was done properly, so there was no pain after that. The process of collecting and transplanting followed, about 5 hours? 6 hours?I think I was in the hospital.
I usually cut my hair short and wear a hat often, so I thought about it and proceeded with a non-cut shaved head. The director did everything from collection to transplantation, and I felt that he was meticulous while watching.
After the surgery, he prescribed the medicine and emphasized that you should avoid alcohol and cigarettes for at least two weeks.
It was okay because I didn't smoke, and I drink alcohol sometimes, so it wasn't too hard to endure it.
For 2-3 days after the surgery, it was a little hard because of the itching rather than the pain. It's quite hard to endure what my hands keep trying to do. Still, there is no big inconvenience after that period.
It hasn't been long since the surgery, so I don't know any noticeable changes. Still, as the director said, I believe it will be abundant if you take care of it step by step and wait. I hope it can be a little bit of reference to those who are worried like me.
