I have contacted Dr. Takashi Tsuji, because I was interested in how far they are. Re-read their publications and to me it seems they are the closest to a possible cure.

Unfortunately there is somewhat of a language barrier. Wish I could speak Japanese to gain knowledge of this talented, intelligent yet humble person.

Anyway he mentioned the problems at the moment are the expansion of the epithelial bulge stem cells and DPC. He said the critical issue revolves around expansion of the epithelial bulge stem cells though. When they overcome the current hurdles they will go with a pre-clinical study to check for safety before following with human clinical trials.

He did say that he is fairly confident that their method will translate perfectly well on humans just like in the rodent model.

2016년 1월에 외국인이 올린글인데여 15년 11월에 마미에미에서 열린 모발학회때 도쿄대 쓰지 교수에게 접촉해서 물어본듯 합니다. 쓰지교수는 2012년도부터 ips로 쥐에게서 줄기세포 이식을 성공한 인물이기도 합니다.
그때 3년내로 임상가서 10년내로 상용화 시키겠다 그러더니 일단 설레발 ㅇㅈ 하구여.ㅋㅋ

expansion of the epithelial bulge stem cells and DPC. 가장 큰 문제가 이것이라는데 제 생각에 이 말이 세포이식시 예상치 못한 유전자 변이와 확장의 부작용을 의미하는건가요 아님 모발재생의효율이 낮다는것을 의미하는 것인지가 궁금합니다...

이 문제만 해결되면 전임상 단계로 나아갈거고 일단 임상까지 가면 인간에게도 확실하게 쥐에게서 그랬던것처럼 큰 효과를 볼 수 있을거라고 자신한다고 합니다.

근데 저 멘트가 제가 생각하는 문제가 맞다면 꼭 모낭이식의 문제가 아니라 현재 줄기세포 임상적용에 있어서
모든 영역에 있는 문제기도 하죠.

일단 기다려보는게 정답인거 같은데. 일단 확실히 모낭복제는 2010년도 초중반을 걸쳐서 많은 발전을 한듯 보이긴 합니다.

He is aiming for human clinical trials in 2020. I he is going to engage in extensive pre-clinical testing first (his method incorporates stem cells). In a world without boundaries he wouldn't be far off, at least that is what I believe. However this isn't the case so you are talking about at least 10 years and that would be the most optimum dream scenario. Highly likely it's going to be longer than that imo.

제가 못읽은게 있어 추가합니다. 쓰지 교수 임상목표가 2020년이랍니다. 일본 ips 로드맵과 일치하네여.
하긴 전문가 전망을 바탕으로 작성한게 로드맵이니 일치하는게 당연할 겁니다.
이 사람외에 학회에 참여해서 녹음본까지 유투브에 올린 외국인도 2020년이 목표라고 들었다니
확실히 신뢰할만한 자료인듯 합니다
